Take Control of Your Child's Future
About Me
Rachel Borthwick is The Coogee Teacher
I was born and raised in Sydney, the eldest child of primary school teachers. They instilled a love of learning in me and it has been my privilege to share in and establish this love with my students.
I live in Coogee with my fiancé and our toddler son.
I am a highly qualified primary school teacher and tertiary educator (and former writer/journalist) with almost 15 years experience in the classroom. Most recently, I have worked as a gifted and talented specialist teacher at an independent school in the Eastern Suburbs.
Working with your child in the comfort of their own home in 1:1 or a small group setting will allow them to develop the confidence to thrive with their learning.

My child is ill. May I have a refund?
As the scheduling of a session involves the reservation of time set aside especially for you, I do not offer refunds.
Do you offer free trials?
I do not offer free lessons. However, I am happy to briefly discuss your child’s needs via email, message or phone before booking. As I feel it is important to work with a tutor you feel comfortable with, the first lesson is booked on its own with no obligation to continue.
